Although it is understandable to feel a strong desire to help, remind yourself that
  facilitating conditions is working on the problem because:
 
  a. favorable conditions are necessary for any kind of change to occur.
  b. most clients do not want you to fix their problem for them and will be
  dismayed by you doing this.
  c. you need to facilitate conditions in order to have a healthy working
  relationship with the client.
  d. conditions lead to the client being able to independently change the problems
  they have in their psychosocial functioning.
