Unlike eukaryotic cell division, in bacterial cell division
 
  a. chromosomes are not separated before cell division.
  b. chromosomes are always replicated to several copies before cell division takes place.
  c. the DNA itself is involved in the mechanism for segregating chromosomes.
  d. chromosomes are not specifically separated, so many cells are anucleate or dinucleate.
  e. a protein apparatus actively pulls chromosomes apart before division.
