3 Cu + 8 HNO3 => 3 Cu(NO3)2 + 2 NO + 4 H2O. How many moles of HNO3 will react with 274.2 grams of Cu?

From the balanced equation:
3mol Cu react with 8 mol HNO3

Molar mass Cu = 63.55g/mol
274.2g Cu = 274.2/63.55 = 4.315 mol Cu
From equation this will react with 4.315*8/3 = 11.51 mol HNO3
