A radiant system uses a heat source  either an electric resistance element or a pipe full of hot water  that simply radiates heat. Fans are not used in this type of system. The heat source is usually buried in either the floor or in a wall. Heat radiates through the floor or wall, heating the surface and then transferring heat to objects in the room. The heat also rises through the room to help heat the space. These systems provide an even, quiet heating system. One advantage is that when a person's feet are warm, they are more comfortable at lower ambient temperatures, so this system can help save energy and money by permitting the building operator to set the thermostat at a lower temperature while still providing a good level of comfort.

Companies have reported that they receive a 3 to 1 return for every dollar invested in an EAP.

During construction, the two-pipe system uses less piping than a four-pipe systems, which significantly reduces material and labor costs. The hotel's developer often will not be the operator of the building; therefore, he or she will not be concerned about future energy costs, energy efficiency, or guest satisfaction. There is no incentive for the developer to install a more expensive four-pipe system if they cannot expect a price premium for the building.

You should explain how it will save money by reducing labor costs. While it may appear on the surface that perfectly good light bulbs are being thrown out, a properly implemented system is based on the fact that once approximately 20 of the new light bulbs have burnt out, the remaining lamps will burn out soon after. Therefore, it's less expensive to change them all at once than to change the piecemeal.

OSHA is concerned with the well being of employees in the workplace. Employee assistance programs are one recommendation for improving employee health.
