Regular physical activity, especially vigorous exercise performed at least 3 times a week, has been associated with a
reduction in both major and contributory risk factors for heart disease. Exercise improves blood pressure, lipid
profiles, insulin sensitivity (diabetes), body composition, and stress management.

Answer to #2

Contributory risk factors for the development of coronary heart disease include (1) stress , (2) excessive alcohol

Answer to #6

Physical activity doesn't mean just formally exercising. There are lots of ways to incorporate physical activity into
your daily life. Taking the stairs is one example. It's up to you to be creative about how you it: Other examples
might be as follows:
Park your car at the far end of the parking lot from the store or restaurant.
Carry your own groceries out to the car at the supermarket. Or leave the cart at the store and carry as many
bags as you can to your car.
Walk, don't drive, to get the mail if your mailbox is not right in front of your house/building.
Take the long way when walking to class, not the short-cut through the bushes.

Answer to #7

This measurement has been shown to be a useful predictor of heart disease risk. A low total cholesterol
concentration is considered to be good. For example, a concentration of <200 mg>whereas a concentration of  240 mg/dl is considered to be high risk.
