A carrier protein along with a target protein combine to form a fusion protein made from a fusion vector. The carrier protein is made to easily purify the product such that several different proteins of interest can be isolated and purified through a streamlined process using the same purification methods. This process also avoids additional research that would need to be done on the target protein of interest to initially isolate it.
