The bypass diode can be tested ___________

  a. With an ohmmeter by testing the forward resistance and reverse resistance.
  b. By checking for voltage across the terminals when the panel is producing power.
  c. By shading the panel that the diode is connected to and seeing if that panel goes to bypass mode for thestring.
 d. All of the above.

Voltage is applied to the motor, current flows through the windings and makes them magnetic which causes the rotor to spin. The rotor receives voltage through a set of brushes that ride on its commutator and allow current to flow through the armature. The commutator segments on the armature cause the polarity of the coils in the rotor continually change and cause the rotor to spin.

The steps involved installing a commercial solar photovoltaic system may include any of the following; planning, sizing, and designing the solar photovoltaic installation, preparing the roof, installing solar panel mounting hardware, mounting the hardware rails for the solar panel on the post in the roof, bolting solar panels together to form an array, mounting the array on rails and holding them in place raising the panels to the proper tilt angle connecting the electrical wires between the solar arrays, connecting wires into the combiner box and junction box, connecting wires between the combiner box and inverter, meter and disconnects, connecting power from the three phase inverter to the building main electrical entrance.

Ans. to #7

The steps involved in installing a residential solar photovoltaic system may include any of the following; designing the system, determining the types of equipment required, installing the hardware to mount the solar panels, installing the solar panel, installing electrical hardware for the solar panel, bringing the system online testing.
