A person invested $5,200, part in bonds bearing 5.9% interest and the remainder in bonds bearing 7.6% interest. Both investments paid the same amount after the same period of time. How much, to the nearest dollar, was invested in each?

Let n be the amount invested at 7.6%. Then:
.076n=.059(5200-n)

.017n=306.8
n=1804.70
$1804.70 was invested at 7.6%; $3395.30 was invested at 5.9%.
