Just so that we're on the same page, IVDs = intervertebral discs



The psoas major is a large muscle with attachments on the vertebral bodies, discs, and transverse processes from T-12 to L-5.

Others include:

Iliocostalis – the lateral most column.
Longissimus – the middle column.
Spinalis – the medial most column; lines up by spinous processes.
