Point A: \(\left(x_1, y_1\right)\)
Point B: \(\left(x_2,\ y_2\right)\)
Midpoint (MP): \(\left(x, y\right)\)

\(MP=\left(\frac{x_1+x_2}{2},\frac{y_1+y_2}{2}\right)=\left(x,y\right)\)

To rearrange for point B, you need to isolate for \(x_2\) and \(y_2\).

Start with \(x_2\):

\(\frac{x_1+x_2}{2}=x\)

\(x_1+x_2=2x\)

\(x_2=2x-x_1\)

Then \(y_2\):

\(\frac{y_1+y_2}{2}=y\)

\(y_1+y_2=2y\)

\(y_2=2y-y_1\)

The formulas highlighted in yellow is what you use to find point B.
