What have the results of numerous research studies concluded about multitasking?

▸ The ability to effectively multitask increases with age.

▸ Despite people thinking they are good at multitasking, they are merely just switching their attention between tasks, which can lead to poorer performance in one or both tasks.

▸ Only some people, particularly millennials, think they are good at multitasking and the people who think they are the best are usually the worst at it because they don't realize how much they have to concentrate while multitasking.

▸ Multitasking is an effective strategy to accomplish a number of activities within a short period of time.
