Solve for the concentration units and comparison of concentration units in the following problems. Box your final answer with two decimal places.

    1. What is the molarity when 25.0 g of the compound NaCl (molar mass=58.44 g/mole) is placed in 85.0 mL of total solution?
My answer: 5.03 M

    2. What is the molality when 115 g of sucrose (molar mass=342 g/mole) is placed in 375 g of water?
My answer: 0.897 M

    3. What is the percent by mass of solution when 65.3 g of the compound KNO3 (molar mass=101 g/mole) is placed in 161 g of water (molar mass=18.0 g/mole)?
My answer: 28.9%

    4. How many grams of the solute MgSO4 (molar mass=120 g/mole) are required to make 75.0 mL of a solution that is 0.445 M?
My answer: 4.01g

    5. A solution that is 7.56% by mass NaNO3 (molar mass=85.0 g/mole) in water (molar mass=18.0 g/mole) has a density of 1.09 g/mL. What is its molarity?
My answer: 0.970 M

    6. How many grams of water (molar mass=18.0 g/mole) must be added to 20.0 grams of CaCO3 (molar mass=100 g/mole) to make an aqueous solution that has a mole fraction of solute of 0.100?
My answer: 32.4g
