Identify factors to distinguish highly virulent pathogens from moderately virulent pathogens.

Why are Streptococcus bacteria more capable of causing dental caries than other bacteria? (I know that they are found in the mouth; they also stick to the teeth and produce acid that causes cavities. They are lactic acid bacteria that ferments the sugar into lactic acid.)

I think that's a pretty good attempt, but you should also add that they can produce biofilm, which leads to plaque.
