What is the difference between software that is extensible and software that is forward compatible?
A) Extensible software can be used on multiple platforms whereas forward compatible software is just a new version of an application.
B) Extensible software can be upgraded easily to provide new features without affecting older features. Forward compatible software can process some of the data from a newer version.
C) Extensible software can be used on 32- and 64-bit architectures, whereas forward compatible software is just an upgrade on either a 32-bit or 64-bit version.
D) Extensible software is open source, whereas forward compatible software accepts all data from older versions.
