Cancer ever really cured?
When a person has had cancer do they ever get cured of it, or do they always simply go into "remission?"
I learned recently that a now 48 year old man gets checked for skin cancer every month or so since they had skin cancer as a child. At least with skin cancer can't it just be scrapped off and usually that's the end of it provided you avoid the sun a lot more? Does cancer risks ever return to normal after a "successful" treatment?

There are no cures available for cancer. There are still many researches going to find effective cures to treat cancer. Many people are treated and live out the rest of life, and die of other causes. Many people get treatment and still die from it. For now treatments only give them more time.
