Responses will vary. A rinsta is a “real” Instagram account that strangers would find by looking you up online. It presents you as you would like to be seen by the general public (e.g., potential employers, college admissions committee). A finsta is a “fake” Instagram account where one can present a more authentic self and share anything that is not meant for public consumption. It uses a screen name based on an inside joke or identifying characteristic that only your close friends would know.
