A patient who has a spinal cord injury at T4 is to be moved out of bed today. Which nursing intervention should be done first?
1. Recheck the mobility order, as these patients are generally on complete bed rest.
2. Raise the head of the bed and reassess the patient's status.
3. Set the patient up quickly to dangle on the side of the bed.
4. Help the patient ambulate to the bedside chair.
