Anterior pituitaries LH and FSH that controls the other endocrine glands producing estrogen and progesterone in women. Loss of LH and FSH can decrease the production of progesterone and estrogen in women.

The ovaries maintain the health of the female reproductive system. They secrete two main hormones, estrogen and progesterone. The corpus luteum secretes estrogens and progesterone. Combined oral contraceptive pills contain two hormones, estrogen, and progesterone which suppress Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), thus inhibiting ovulation. The pituitary secretes FSH and LH. Hence the answer is option a, pituitary gland.
