Combined oral contraceptive pills contain two hormones, estrogen, and progesterone which suppress Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), thus inhibiting ovulation. The pituitary secretes FSH and LH. Hence the answer is option a, pituitary gland.
