Research by Rindfuss & Stephen (1990) on proximity and marriage indicates that married people living apart (i.e., for employment reasons):
a.   stay married longer.
b.   have fewer conflicts.
c.   are more likely to get divorced.
d.   had a greater number of conflicts when they moved in together.
