What is delta G knot for this reaction? How do you differentiate which is a cathode and which is an anode? Which is which for the following?


GSSG + NADPH + H+ ? 2GSH + NADP+
 
 
GSSG + 2e- + 2H+ ? 2GSH                      -0.23 V 
NADP+ + 2e- + 2 H+ ? NADPH + H+        +0.32 V

A cathode is negative. It attracts cations, which are positively charged. Anode is positive. GSSG looks like it's being reduced.
