Hi all ; im new to the forums ; i have a question about chemical synapses ; what makes them different? how is it possible to differentiate between chemical synapses? do some do different things to others? do some have special functions? thanks!

What makes chemical synapses different are the receptors found postsynaptic cleft (receptor area). Also, the chemical released from the presynaptic vesicles.
