I think that's not the whole question. Can you repost providing the complete question?

Restriction enzymes are enzymes that cleave the DNA at certain sequences. For example, EcoRI will cleave the DNA whenever the sequence is 5'-GAATTC-3'

I have exceeded the numbers of downloads for today. I think it's more appropriate to write your questions instead of uploading pictures.

You need to remove the underlined sequence for further study.
But, I don't see any underlined sequence.

a)
5'-GCAAGCTTGCTGCAGAATTAGGGCCCGGA-3'
3'-CGTTCGAACGACGTCTTAATCCCGGGCCT-5'

b) The only enzymes that can cut the certain DNA sequence are: (the "|" is the place of cleavage)
SmaI
5'-GCAAGCTTGCTGCAGAATTAGGG | CCCGGA-3'
3'-CGTTCGAACGACGTCTTAATCCC | GGGCCT-5'

AluI
5'-GCAAG | CTTGCTGCAGAATTAGGGCCCGGA-3'
3'-CGTTC | GAACGACGTCTTAATCCCGGGCCT-5'

HindIII
5'-GCA | AGCTTGCTGCAGAATTAGGGCCCGGA-3'
3'-CGTTCGA | ACGACGTCTTAATCCCGGGCCT-5'

AluI and HindIII cleave at a similar place, so you will have to chose one of them. Also, you have to chose SmaI. (maybe one of them is excluded -probably HindIII-, but I can't say because I cannot see what the underlined sequence is.

c) If you use SmaI and AluI you will get:
5'-CTTGCTGCAGAATTAGGG-3'
3'-GAACGACGTCTTAATCCC-5'
If you use SmaI and HindIII you will get:
        5'-TGCTGCAGAATTAGGG-3'
3'-TCGAACGACGTCTTAATCCC-5'

d) The rest of the restriction enzymes doesn't seem to have their sequence to the certain DNA part, so they can't cleave it (so, there is no need to avoid them). Again, it depends on the underlined DNA the exercise is talking about, to decide if you should avoid using HindIII or not.
