enzyme is destroyed ,it would hinder the reaction but since
the gene responsible for its expression is not destroyed,
so the reaction would take its effect when the enzyme is synthesized again.

if a gene responsible for enzyme expression is destroyed
it would lead to what is referred as INBORN ERRORS OF
METABOLISM.
one such example is albinism-complete loss of skin
pigmentation.it occurs when pigment melanin is not
synthesized by body due non expression of gene responsible
for synthesis of enzyme catalysing that reaction.
