You're eligible for a career cleaning lab monkey cages.

Another possibility is counting worms in fish guts.

Before you give up on Zoology, you want to make sure that you looked at the course catalog correctly. Usually you major in biology, but during your junior year you are allowed to select a concentration such as zoology or marine biology. So just to make sure, carefully re-read the course catalog or ask an academic adviser to see if the option exists. If it so happens that only biology is offered, you can still have some fulfilling career choices that involve animals. However, be aware that generally an advanced degree (such as master?s or PhD) is required to get most science-related jobs. With that said, some career choices include: veterinary assistant or technician, animal assisted therapist and professional animal breeder. Another great career choice that is expected to do great within the next decade is becoming an Animal Scientist. An animal scientist is responsible for creating new and innovate ways of ensuring certain animals are kept in sanitary and healthy conditions in order to produce safe products such as milk and eggs. In addition, they conduct research in order to find ways to reduce animal waste buildup and animal deaths.
