A wire to be run from Point A and to point C which is on the opposite side of a 100 m wide river and 500 m downstream from A. Find Point P on the opposite side of the river from A such that the cost of laying the wire is minimized.
Cost of laying wire underground: $9 per m
cost of laying wire underwater: $15
