if you like working with children, i know that schools have sociologists.
also, dr. phil is sort of a scicologist/ helps people with their lives

In the U.S., there is no licensure level for an individual with a degree in sociology to be a counselor or therapist. Fields that allow licensure are psychology and social work. However, individuals with a degree in sociology do qualify in most states for entry level state jobs (ie social services, juvenile services, probation and parole, etc.)
