It really depends on what you want to do. Sociology is a broad degree, which allows you to do many things. Some areas where you may be able to find employment are:

Courts/Probation/Corrections
Job and Family Services
Drug and Alcohol Counseling
Mental Health Agencies
Market Research Companies
Housing
Teaching
Activist Organizations (ACLU, Acorn, and so on)
Universities

The opportunities are out there, you just have to figure out what you want to do.  You should also check out government jobs, they have plenty of opportunities for people with sociology degrees. Hope this helps.

you can actually work as a researcher for an NGO.
you can also work as a consultant to companies or NGOs.
and i think the best possible work is in the Human Resrouce, under the training and development section or in the research section. ^_^
