Can you donate blood if you have iron deficiency?

They will test for it, they put a drop of your blood in a solution and if it  stays suspended then you cant I believe.  They will test it though and you can still donate.  It isnt something you have to worry about since they will tell you, but I know they test you before hand to make sure so no need to worry.

They test a few drops of your blood before you are allowed to donate.  If the iron count is too low, you cannot donate. I don't remember the criteria they use, but I had to skip a few months for that problem.  

Giving blood isn't that hard and doesn't take very long considering you may save someone's life.   It's great that you are trying to give blood.
