Convert $140/barrel of oil to $/kg.

It gives you one barrel of oil = 42 gal, 1 kg= 2.2 lbs, specific gravity of oil =.8505, and 1 gal of water= 8.34lb/gal.

The specific gravity is what throwing me off.

.8505*8.34=7.09317 (how much 1 gallon of oil weighs)

7.09317/2.2=3.224 (same weight but in kg)

42*3.224=135.415 (weight of 42 gallons in kg)

140/135=1.033 ($/KG)

im not big on maths...but thats how i'd do it

it might even be correct
