The egg is released from the ovary into the Fallopian tube. The egg travels into the fallopian tube where it waits to be fertilized. If it is fertilized it will then travel down the fallopian tube and into the uterus.

The answer is fallopian tubes. The egg is produced in the ovary, and matures in the oviducts. From there, it is transported through the fallopian tubes where it may get fertilized, and ends up on the lining of the uterine wall.
