what is the hydrogen ion concentration of a .500M aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid? This is a question on my practice test for finals, and I can't seem to figure it out. Can someone work the problem out for me, because I already know the answer (.500M). Thank you.

HCl is a strong acid and we can assume that it is 100% dissociated

HCl = H+ + Cl-

[H+]= [Cl-] = 0.500 M
