A capacitor is connected to an AC generator. As the generator's frequency is increased, what happens to the current in the capacitor?

A) The current increases
B) The current decreases
C) The current does not change.

Also state why you choose that and give formula is possible to back up explanation. Thanks

 voltage applied to capacitor C Farad is :

 e = Em*sin(2pift) volts

 Xc = 1/2pi*f*C ohms

 current, i = e/Xc = (2pifC)Em*sin(2pift) Amps ........... [1]

 Now, let, frequency = 2f Hz, then,

 current, i2 = (4pi*fC)Em*sin(2*pi*ft) ...................... [2]

 Comparing [1] and [2], we get, that :

  A) The current INCREASES >================< ANSWER
