Neither trait is necessarily better.  The dominant trait is the one that will be revealed in the phenotype if there is just one dominant and one recessive allele together.

Neither is better than the other.

For instance, blue eyes are a recessive trait, while brown eyes are a dominant trait.  Neither trait has anything to do with physical or mental capability.

Additionally, various physical and mental impairments are found in both dominant and recessive genes. In other words, both dominant genes and recessive genes can weaken a person's quality of life.

Just as both types, too, can strengthen it.
