Genotyping!  You could really look this up on wikipedia... you'd get more information faster... and it wouldn't fit in this little box.  Think about the implications of genetic research... Mendel was the father!

He created the Punnet square and this allowed doctors and biologist to predict the dominant and recessive outcome of a child or any first or second  generation organism. For example a father passes down Pp dominant genes and the mother is Pp and that is recessive. P is dominant and p is recessive. The square comes in handy. It contains 4 suqares and you have to fill them out and a ratio should come out of it. the ratio is 3:1 chance that a child will have a dominant gene. There are three choices PP, Pp, and pp. See how it came out to be 3:1.
