This is the third or fourth question you've asked that is obviously homework or a take-home exam.

All of this information is either in your textbook or can be easily learned by reading your textbook.  I suggest you do that.  You are eventually going to have to learn to do this sort of research and comprehension on your own - why not start now?

I think it was easy to grow, easy to reproduce, and and easy to pollinate.  I would say to answer your question with the list of answers it is #2 easy to reproduce.  You need an easy test subject to rule out as many variables as possible.

They were easy to grow, readily reproduce, and had a good set of readily observable variant traits.  Mendel lucked out in that the traits assorted independently of each other!

Gregor Mendel selected garden pea ( pisum sativum ) for his hybridization experiments because of the following reasons-
1) Plants are annual & easy to cultivate.
2) Pea has many distinct , well defined & easily observable morphological characteristics ( traits).
3) Flowers are bisexual & naturally self fertilizing , but they can be easily cross fertilized also .
4) The offsprings of cross fertilization are fertile .
5) Flowers are suffiently large for easy emasculation ( removal of stamens) & artificial cross pollination.
But it has been proved tht Mendel got success more bcoz of the luck factor rather than his efforts.............
i know it might be funny now ,since i have already provided u with a proper answer , to tell u to go , open ur textbook & be a bit friendly with it.......... these facts r there in ur textbook.............
