A flask contains 10.0 mL of HCl and a few drops of phenolphthalein indicator. The buret contains 0.160 M NaOH.
What volume of NaOH is needed to reach the end point of the titration? What was the initial conc. of HCl?

 In order to calculate the volume of NaOH required, it is necessary to know the concentratin of the HCl solution
Alternatively, in order to calculate the concentrtaion of the HCl solution, it is necessary  to know the volume of standard NaOH used

But it is not possible to calculate two unknowns.

one can easily test for HCl concentration by the simple yet effective Acid to Flaccid test. You simply need an erect stirring rod and a willing experimenter
