Use a supplemental book like Physics for dummies and do several practice problems out of the accompanying workbook.

Everyone learns differently, but I think that lots of practice is the only way to truly learn and retain methods. Seeing many problems can easily help you recognize patterns/types of questions that may appear on your examinations.

Practice and repetition can only benefit you. If need be, you could also look for a tutor. When you put in the time and effort into a course, it will pay off. A little sacrifice of time each day will bring you a long way. Best of luck to you! Slight Smile
If you are reading this, you are awesome, and I wish you a happy and prosperous day!

I always found that trying to understand the equations given to you by your professor helped the most.  By this I mean trying to understand what variables are proportional to each other, which units are used for this each equation, or how one equation affects another equation.  I have always found that if you have a good understanding of the mathematics part of physics, the conceptual part is a lot easier to break down into more understandable pieces.  Just my two cents.
