When a female gets impregnated with a different RH baby, the body treats that embryo like something that shouldn't be there and attacks it.

Usually this attack takes a while and the first pregnancy completes before any damage can be done (not always). The second pregnancy can be a problem. Sometimes the mother has to have a complete blood transfusion.

The bottom line is that the medical world has answers for this. The situation can be handled, but needs to be closely watched.
