Oh okay. The difference is whether the artery or vein is carrying oxygenated (red) blood, or deoxygenated (blue) blood. One artery (the pulmonary artery) goes from the heart to the lungs to pick up oxygen, so it is blue. Then, once it picks up oxygen from the lungs, it goes back to the heart through the pulmonary vein (red). Those are the only arteries/veins whose colors are reversed.

Also keep in mind that it is reversed in some textbooks Slight Smile

How do they show connection in the heart tho? Is it because they exchange the deoxygenated blood for oxygenated blood? Slight Smile

I think after the blood runs through the pulmonary artery, is becomes red, signifying oxygenated blood
