For f (x) = x^3 ? 4x + 2, the derivative is 3x^2 - 4.

Find the equation of the tangent line to f(x) at x = 0

The derivative is the slope of the tangent, so plug 0 into the derivative to find m.  Plug zero into f(x) to find y.  This gives you the point (0,_).   Use the point and slope to write an eqn using y=mx+b or point slope form.
