What is the sequence of events by which the sympathetic nervous system contributes to normal blood flow to the brain upon standing?  Arrange in correct order.

A. Increased cardiac output and peripheral resistance resulting in increased blood pressure is observed.

B. Sympathetic activity increases and parasympathetic activity decreases.

C. Increased heart rate and contractility and vasoconstriction of blood vessels (except in the legs) is observed.

D. Concentration of norepinephrine released to the heart and blood vessels by sympathetic nervous neurons increases; acetylcholine release to the heart by parasympathetic neurons decreases.

E. Norepinephrine binds to beta-1 receptors on the heart cells and alpha-1 receptors on smooth muscle cells lining the blood vessels.

F. Beta-1 and alpha-1 receptors activate

G. Blood pressure to the brain decreases.

H. Arterial baroreceptors decrease the frequency of action potentials conducted o the cardiovascular control center in the central nervous system.

I. Upon standing, blood drops to the lower portions of the body.
