Hi there. I am reading the following figures in a powerpoint presentation. They are described as demonstrating the near perfect accuracy of DNA replication, with error rates in the neighborhood of 10^-10. And yet there are discrepancies of up to a percentage point in the data given. For example the frequence of G in the mother strand is 26.2%, but the corresponding frequence of C in the daugher strand is only 24.3%.

E. Coli replication:

.............:%A...%T...%C...%G
Matrice:..25...24.3...24.5...26.2
Product:..26.1..25.1...24.3...24.5

Thanks for any help.
