covalent bonds are made b/w nonmetals
metallic bonds are b/w a metal & nonmetal

covalent bonds have low boiling and melting points and ionic bonds have hi melting and boiling points generaly)))
 ionic bonds are hard rigid, brittle solids
metallic are maleable ductile and durable
covalent are not soluble and ionic is soluble
