Greg has it right on the nail! EAT- whatever it takes and drink water!
I can tell you that cold foods tend to be more tolerable than hot.
The mouth is extremely sensitive to heat since it's already a dry and hot atmosphere in the mouth.

I lived on my version of a Thirsty's shake while on treatment:
6 ice cubes
1 cup of cranberry juice
1/4 cup of frozen vanilla yogurt
1/4 cup frozen mixed berries

(you may have to adjust the cranberry juice to blend it better)

I drank these every day- infact, I doubled up on it to sip on throughout the day. I did manage to take a bite here and there of hot foods followed by cold drinks like tea and water.

A very chilled "Boost" drink also helped. (nutrients)

Good luck and hope she's a responder!!!!

Watch out for psychosis that can happen when one loses a lot of weight too- the treatment begins weight based, so if she loses alot of weight, watch for mental sides.
