How many grams of a drug must be used to prepare 5,000 milliliters of a 1 percent solution?

A. 0.5g
B. 5g
C. 50g
D. 500g

% solution in these circumstances is weight(g) / volume(mL)
50g/5000mL = 1% solution

fyi, % solution can also be weight / weight

or even vol / vol
