The first two pregnancies for a couple result in late term stillbirths. The reproductive histories of both families, over 3 generations, were compiled. A pattern of frequent miscarriages, stillbirths and malformed babies that died shortly after birth were seen in the husband's family. The husband has a karyotype done, which shows that he has the normal number of chromosomes. What are the most likely causes of the frequent miscarriages etc. in the husband's family. Please explain your reasoning.
