When we fire a projectile  in the air, I know it consists the earth rotational velocity. But when it lands back on earth does it still have that velocity? Would that velocity be gone with the projectile's velocity relative to the earth?

Secondly, I have ask this many times but people dont seem to answer it. If we are standing on earth, we consist the earth's velocity, but if we get heavier, will we still have that velocity?
