I'm not sure if it's possible, but if I know the total amount of joules that can be stored by an electrolytic capacitor, and yet don't know it's capacitance in terms of farads, is there an easy conversion to figure this out? If not, what other information is needed in order to make the conversion?

Yes, by definition a Farad is F = C^2/J; where C is coulombs and J is Joules.
