I wanted to know if it would be fine to replace a 35v 1500uf with a 50v 1500uf cap? This is for a plasma tv. Please let me know and if you could give me advice when replacing caps that would be great. I wanted to know if replacing a cap with a higher one would be fine as long as it has the same farad?

Yes. Any capacitor with a higher voltage rating just ensures it will not break down or explode.  You are safe with a higher cap voltage.
