Are proteins named systematically? Is there an easier way to memorize the names? Perhaps like a naming convention of some sort?

The naming of protein depends on several factors. For example, some enzymes are named after the substrate they catalyze (Sucrase catalyzes sucrose into glucose and fructose). Some proteins are named upon their molecular weight. HSP60, HSP70 and HSP90 refer to heat shock proteins of varying weights.
